Leon County is part of the northwest region of Florida, along with Bay, Santa Rosa, Escambia, Walton, Holmes, Jackson, Washington, Okaloosa, Calhoun, Liberty, Gulf, Franklin, Gadsden, Jefferson, and Wakulla counties.
