Gadsden County is Florida's only predominantly African-American county. It has a population over 45,000. Top industries are education, health & social services; public administration; and retail trade.

It is not known just how many Gadsden County residents own shares in Coca-Cola, but a local rumor suggested that the company sent a representative to collect shareholder votes.
