Forestry is the most important part of the agricultural industry in Putnam County. Timber consumes more land than any other agricultural product. Farms in the county produce crops including potatoes, cabbage, and poultry. Like other places in Florida, cattle ranching and citrus harvesting are also important agricultural activities.
