Clermont is a city in Lake County, Florida in East Central Florida. It's population as recorded in the 2010 Census was 28,742. Clermont is approximately 24 miles west of Orlando (population 238,300) and around 18 miles from Apopka (population 41,542).  Clermont is a part of the Orlando-Kissimmee-Sanford Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Clermont is home to the Florida Citrus Tower, one of Florida's first constructed landmarks. The 226-foot tower is the highest observation point in Florida, and was built so visitors could observe the many orange groves that surround it. Clermont is also home to a historic downtown area, known as the Clermont Historic Village.
