Cities of Lake County include Astatula, Clermont, Eustis, Fruitland Park, Groveland, Lady Lake, Leesburg, Mascotte, Minneola, Montverde, Mount Dora, Tavares, and Umatilla. Lake County has approximately 1,400 named lakes. It is home to around 300,000 people. About one in four residents are over the age of 65.
