The city also has smaller airports to serve general aviation needs, including Jacksonville Executive at Craig Airport, Herlong Recreational Airport, and Cecil Airport. The county has a median income above the state median and an average lower cost of living, too.

Duval County?s historic location where the St. John?s River meets the Atlantic Ocean makes for prime waterfront. Tourists and residents can take advantage of the beaches and fishing as well as other maritime recreation, including kayaking, paddleboarding, and surfing. The area also offers arts & culture options in the form of museums, art galleries, the symphony, and theater. Jacksonville is also a world-class golf destination with dozens of courses.
